About us
Built in Vienna, for families like ours.
Seniorenschutzengel is a service of IERA GmbH, a Viennese company for secure digital services. We built it because we know the question from our own families: the parents are cared for at home, the children live far away, and at some point something goes missing.
Why a guardian angel and not surveillance
Cameras from the electronics store show live images, record audio and store everything somewhere in the world. In the home of a person who is being cared for, that is neither dignified nor lawful. We wanted the opposite: a system that watches nobody, but has evidence when it matters. That is more work, and it is the whole difference.
Powered by SafeCloud
The technology behind it runs on SafeCloud, an Austrian cloud service built for confidential data. Recordings are encrypted per household, stored in Austria and deleted according to fixed rules. Our own staff cannot view them.
Who we work with
- Licensed electricians for cabling and mounting, from each region, from Vienna to Vorarlberg.
- European camera manufacturers whose devices need no cloud of their own and are never allowed onto the internet.
- Data protection lawyers who went through every rule of this service with us and keep advising us.
Principles
- No live image, no audio, no face recognition. Not even for an extra charge.
- The carer is informed before the first recording is made.
- Data stays in Austria and is deleted when it is no longer needed.
- If a camera is not the right answer, we say so.
Three locations, five federal states
From Vienna we serve Vienna, from Tulln Lower Austria, and from Kitzbühel Tyrol, Salzburg and Vorarlberg. The technology for every household is operated from Vienna.
